West Java Earthquake Emergency Response |

To response a huge earthquake disaster that occurred in West Java, centered at Tasikmalaya on September 2, 2009, the Disaster Management Committee of Islamic Relief immediately sent its staff to the affected areas and took decision for relief operation. As a part of that initiative team is distributing food and non food items among the 500 households from 04 affected sub districts under Sukabumi district. Distribution has been started from 13 September and will be finished by 17 September 2009. Each affected family is receiving 10 kg of rice, 40 packets of instant noodles, 02 litres of palm oil, milk , one set of hygiene kit, one water bucket and one blanket. All those 500 families are from Lengkong, Nagrak, Pabuaran and Caringin sub districts. |

Ramadhan Food Distribution 1430 H/ 2009 |

Islamic Relief Indonesia (IRI) has successfully implemented the Ramadhan food distribution programme at all working areas covering West Java Province, Banten Province and NAD Province. It was the responsibility of IRI family to help some poor people in Indonesia to maintain their fasting with some good meals. |

Banda Aceh, 6th august 2009.Islamic Relief Indonesia celebrated its 25th anniversary in Banda Aceh on 6th August 2009. Mr. Ir. H. T. Said Mustafa, Assistant II SETDA Aceh was the chief guest in this ceremony. Mr. Ir. Mawardy. M.Eng, Banda Aceh city Mayor was also present in the occasion. Dr. Ahmed Toson, Country Director of Islamic Relief Indonesia delivered his opening speech and gave thanks to all the stakeholders for their kind participation in the ceremony. |
