Islamic Relief (IR) through World Bank funded aims to develop an integrated marine fisheries project that will provide better sustained livelihoods and can be replicated in line with the objectives of Economic Development Financing Facility (EDFF). This project will be done in line with multidimensional studies to integrate economic fishing activities with social, cultural, and environmental considerations. The main goal of this sub-project is improving coastal community prosperity through integrated marine fisheries management and better market access. This project will be implemented with Partnership of Aceh Ocean Coral (AOC), a local NGO. All positions will be based in Simeulue and/or Aceh Singkil in Aceh Province. 1. Fisheries Specialist: 1 position (salary 8-9 million IDR per month). Qualifications: minimum graduation degree from a reputable university in fishery, strong managerial skills, minimum 5-7 years experience with INGO’s in related field. 2. Construction Engineer: 1 positions (salary 7-8 million IDR per month). Qualifications: minimum graduation degree from a reputable university in Civil Engineering, 3-4 years experience relevant field in INGO’s or Private Sector. 3. Senior Livelihood Officer: 1 position (salary 7-8 million IDR per month). Qualifications: graduated from a reputable university in agriculture, fishery or other related field, 3 – 5 years experience with international INGO’s in related field. 4. Economic Development Officer: 1 positions (salary 5-6 million IDR per month). Qualifications: graduated from a reputable university in business administration or economy background, 2–3 years experience INGO’s in economic development. DRR Assistant (Based in Pariaman,West Sumatera) Key Roles/Responsibilities:
1. To carry out the baseline survey and disaster risk mapping studies in supporting the 2. To transfer the DRR training implementation for community and school in the targeted areas, 3. Work closely with community and school committee level frequently 4. Liaise with other NGOs, relevant government agencies and other stakeholders to ensure a coordination of effort and lesson sharing in the field. 5. To perform other responsibilities related as requested by line manager.
Skill and qualification required: · Degree in development, social science or related field · Computer literate with fluency of using Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet and email packages · Good written and spoken Bahasa/Indonesian and English is an advantage. · Demonstrates qualities of oral and written communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and ability to work in team. · Proven ability to work under pressure in a potentially unstable security environment, with difficult living conditions in the field · Ability to write reports and a willingness to share information · Previous experience in the same field is advantageous · Willing to be based in Pariaman and has a driving license (motorbike) · Able and willing to travel to community areas in Pariaman · Able to understand about the important of placement rotation · Commitment to the aims and beliefs of Islamic Relief and able to represent organization · Candidates who are from West Sumatra will get special preference for this position.
