Emergency Response

In year 2009/2010, there have been several disaster occurrences in Indonesia, among others are earthquake in West Sumatra, Mount Merapi Eruption in Yogyakarta, Flash Flood in Wasior – Papua, Tsunami in Mentawai – West Sumatra, Drought in Pandeglang – Banten. Islamic Relief responded to the disasters right after the onset of the occurrence to the most areas through emergency response activity through relief items distribution and in some areas continued working with early recovery, rehabilitation and reconstruction activities. The following will describe Islamic Relief Indonesia activity through emergency relief and recovery activities.
